The advantage of this combination is that the softshell inner can be used as a stand alone jacket. This is perfect for dry weather because softshells are more breathable, comfortable and better suited to high workload activities. When it rains the outer shell's Isotex 5000 fabric provides total waterproofing and a high level of breathability. This high quality 3-in1 jacket has lots of other important extra features such as a concealed hood with adjuster, underarm ventilation zips and taped seams to name just a few.
