From Garmin's 76 series of GPS units the GPS Map 76Csx boasts all the range specifications and features an electronic compass and barometric altimeter. A removable MicroSD card allows for detailed mapping and includes a 128mb card, located inside the waterproof battery compartment. The impressive unit can load map data and transfer routes and waypoints through the unit's fast USB connection. In addition, this unit features a new, highly sensitive GPS receiver that acquires satellites faster and lets users track their location in challenging conditions, such as heavy foliage or deep canyons. The GPS Map 76Csx's barometric altimeter produces extremely accurate elevation data and an electronic compass that displays an accurate heading while standing still. The GPS Map 76Csx offers a large colour TFT display and turn-by-turn routing capability. The unit also floats when dropped in the water.
